Pahlish - My Oblivion

My Oblivion is a blue jelly loaded with gold holographic hexes of various sizes & bars. For those of you who aren't fans of bar glitter, don't fret, the hexes far out number the bars! I wasn't sure if I was gonna like this one on.. but I ended up absolutely loving it! Application was good, I used a combination of dabbing & regular brush strokes. The combination of the blue & gold makes it look teal, & the holographic glitters are super sparkly, bottom line - this polish is fantastic!

This is 3 coats of My Oblivion with 1 coat of topcoat.

Cult Nails Spontaneous & KBShimmer Clown Puke

Cult Nails Spontaneous is a deep purple creme with tiny violet glitters throughout. Application was smooth & easy. Being a lover of all things purple, this was an automatic winner for me!

This is 2 coats of Spontaneous with 1 coat of (bubbly) topcoat.

KBShimmer Clown Puke is a multi colored glitter in a clear base. I have to admit I was kinda bummed out by this one. Other pics I had seen online looked more boldly colored than the bottle I received (which seems to have an overdose of gold glitter in it).. but I guess that's just to be expected with some indies.

This is 2 dabbed coats of Clown Puke over Cult Nails Spontaneous, with 2 coats of topcoat.

I purchased Spontaneous from the Cult Nails website for $12, and Clown Puke from the KBShimmer website for $8.75.

Tough As Nails Lacquer - It's All Over Now

It's All Over Now has hexes of white, blue, violet, lavender, & iridescent green, with white shards, all in a soft grey jelly base. Application was great with little to no manipulation required. Though it dries a bit lumpy looking, topcoat fixes that right away! I find this polish very soothing to look at. The color combos are just perfect.

This is 1 coat of It's All Over Now over OPI I Vant To Be A-Lone Star (which can be seen by itself here), except on my ring finger which has 3 coats of IAON by itself. I have to say they look pretty identical! All fingers have 2 coats of topcoat.

I purchased this polish from the Tough As Nails Lacquer Etsy page for $5.50.

Once Upon A Polish - Queen of Hearts

This is the final Alice In Wonderland themed polish that I have to show you guys. This one happens to be bitter sweet because the Esty shop I bought this from no longer exists, but it's such a cool polish that I didn't want to not share it.

Queen of Hearts is a pretty glitterbomb that has red & black hearts, and hexes of gold, white, & black, all in a clear base. I did have to do quite a bit of fishing to get the hearts out, but I don't mind that. I then placed them where I wanted them by using a toothpick (unfortunately I wasn't as gentle as I should have been & some of the color, particularly the red, got scratched off a little bit). It wasn't so noticeable in person, but of course the camera magnifies every flaw! I'm still really happy with how it ended up looking.

This is 1 dabbed coat (with some extra fishing/placing) of Queen of Hearts over my "Not Too Shabby" franken (which can be seen by itself here), with 3 coats of topcoat.

Doesn't the Queen of Hearts' face resemble Fred Flinstone? Ha!

I purchased this from the Once Upon A Polish Etsy page. Unfortunately, that seller has since closed up shop. However, I noticed recently that Hit Polish released a Queen of Hearts polish that is somewhat similar (it's sold out at the moment but Rachel is very good with restocking), here is the link to see what it looks like: http://www.etsy.com/listing/119002071/mini-5ml-queen-of-hearts-alice-in?ref=usr_faveitems

CrowsToes ~ Absolum - Your Potions Master

The Alice In Wonderland polish that I have for you today is none other than CrowsToes Absolum! Just like Cheshire, this was a lemming of mine for quite a while until I was finally able to snag a bottle from Llarowe, and it was totally worth the wait! It's a stunning glitterbomb filled with hexes of blue, green, orange, black, & holographic silver, with black bars, all in a clear base. And just like Cheshire it is thick, but application was not bad at all. It's absolutely beautiful & I'm so glad to finally have it in my collection!

This is 1 dabbed coat of Absolum over butter LONDON Slapper (which can be seen by itself here), with 2 coats of topcoat.

I took the following photos before I made my lightbox, so they are all taken under a regular lamp:

slightly blurry, but very color accurate

I purchased this from Llarowe for $13.

Check out Lauri's (CrowsToes creator) blog here.

This polish was inspired by Absolem the Caterpillar in the Tim Burton version of Alice In Wonderland. Alan Rickman (who plays Snape the Potions professor in the Harry Potter films) did the voice of this character, hence the awesome name of this polish!

CrowsToes - Cheshire

The next few days here at Nails and a Westie are going to be Alice In Wonderland themed - so what better way to start off than with my favorite character, The Cheshire Cat! The moment I saw this polish I knew I had to have it. The trouble was getting it wasn't that simple.. but with patience I finally managed to snag a bottle! Cheshire is a stunning glitterbomb that represents the colors of The Cheshire Cat perfectly - it's loaded with shiny hexes of purple, pink, yellow, & holographic silver, with large matte magenta hexes, all in a clear base. It is thick, but application wasn't bad at all. I absolutely adore this polish & couldn't help but smile every time I looked at my nails while wearing it!

This is 1 dabbed coat of Cheshire over Cult Nails Charming (which can be seen by itself here), with 2 coats of topcoat.

I purchased this bottle from Overall Beauty for $12.  You can also find it on Llarowe for $13. This polish has since been discontinued, but it's still available so I highly recommend grabbing a bottle while you can!
