D & R Apothecary - Spring's Arrival

*Purchased by me*

This has got to be one of the coolest glitter toppers I own!! It really is the perfect representation of Spring! It has flowers, butterflies, hexes, squares, & shards all in various pastel colors!

The following description is taken from D & R Apothecary's website & sums it up perfectly:

"This is such a FUN polish! Tons of flowers and butterflies in aqua, yellow, pink & purple along with hex, square and shred glitter in iridescent, green, pink, aqua, purple, and yellow. This reminds me of flowers starting to bloom and butterflies flying all around. Love It!"

I really love it too!

This is 2 dabbed coats of Spring's Arrival over Kleancolor Pastel Yellow & topped with 1 coat of Gelous, & 1 coat of Seche Vite.

I purchased "Spring's Arrival" from the D & R Apothecary Etsy page, and Kleancolor "Pastel Yellow" from Amazon.com.

D & R Apothecary/Hit Polish - Funfetti

Funfetti is an awesome glitter topper filled with various shapes, sizes, & colors. Application was great & all the glitters laid completely flat. I love these kinds of glitter combos because they are so versatile - the layering possibilities are endless! I chose to wear it over black to make all the colors really pop, and I have to say I'm loving the end result!

This is 2 coats of Funfetti over Jordana Black with 1 coat of topcoat.

I purchased this from the D & R Apothecary Etsy page.

Hit Polish - Precious Metal

Precious Metal is a lovely glitterbomb filled with hexes of gold, silver, bronze, copper, gunmetal, and a sprinkling of holographic micro glitters, all in a clear base. Application was great, not too thick or too thin, and the glitters are plentiful!

I layered Precious Metal over NOPI For Gold Times Sake (which can be seen by itself here). On my ring finger & thumb I did 2 coats, and on my other fingers I did 1 coat. All were topped with 1 coat of topcoat.

See those teeny tiny white dots? Those are actually holographic!

And to show off those sparkling holographic glitters, here it is with flash:

I purchased this from the Hit Polish Etsy page.

Hit Polish - Jack Loves Sally

It seems like every indie polish maker has come out with their own Nightmare Before Christmas polish this year. However, this is the only one that I bought, and I must say that Rachel (the creative genius behind Hit Polish) really nailed it (if you'll pardon the pun..). The color combination is sublime! There are hexes of various sizes & colors including: orange, yellow, teal, purple, black & white, squares of yellow & teal, and black bars, all in a clear base. It really is the perfect representation of Jack & Sally!

On my ring finger I have 3 coats of Jack Loves Sally by itself. My thumb has 2 coats of JLS over Essie To Buy or Not To Buy (which can be seen by itself at the end of this post). And on my index, middle, & pinky I have 1 coat of JLS over Essie TBONTB. All fingers were topped with 1 coat of Gelous, & 1 coat of Essie Good To Go.

Of course I just had to add this!:

Essie To Buy or Not To Buy is a lovely pale lilac creme. In the bottle it appears to have a faint blue shimmer, but unfortunately that does not translate to the nail. Still a pretty color though. Here is 3 coats with 1 coat of topcoat.

I purchased Jack Loves Sally from the Hit Polish Etsy page, and the Essie from Macys.com (it was a few months ago, so I'm not sure if this color is still available).

Hit Polish - Punk'd Up Kicks

Those of you who have been following my blog for awhile know that I'm a huge fan of Hit Polish (formerly D & R Apothecary). Well, it's official, they are now my absolute favorite indie brand!! This is the 5th polish of theirs I've worn so far (see the others here), and with each new one that I put on I love them more & more! Punk'd Up Kicks is a totally awesome glitterbomb filled with matte pink & blue hexes, holographic lime green hexes, micro black & white hexes, matte blue squares, & black shards all in a clear base. I think this one may be my favorite yet!! <3

This is 2 dabbled coats of Punk'd Up Kicks over China Glaze For Audrey (which can be seen alone here), followed by 1 coat of Gelous, & 1 coat of Essie Good To Go.

As a side note.. the bottle in these pics has the old label on it because I bought this a while back.

Hit Polish - Autumn Harvest

I know you've heard me sing the praises of Hit Polish (formerly D & R Apothecary) many times before.. and here I go again! As I mentioned in yesterday's post Autumn is my favorite season, so the moment I saw this polish I just had to have it! (sounds familiar doesn't it?) It's another gorgeous glitter bomb packed with medium sized hexes of brown, yellow, red, & orange, medium sized green squares, and itty bitty orange & green hexes all in a clear base. It makes me think of the leaves changing all those beautiful colors, and it also reminds me of a cornucopia (or horn of plenty). I will definitely be wearing this one again on Thanksgiving!

This is 1 dabbled coat (I will admit my index finger got slightly more on it than the others) of Autumn Harvest over Butter London Shag, followed by 1 coat of Gelous, and 1 coat of Essie Good To Go.

D & R Apothecary / Hit Polish - Bubblicious

Another winner from D&R Apothecary/Hit Polish!! Bubblicious is a gorgeous glitter filled with medium sized purple squares, blue hexes (small & medium sized), and matte pink hexes (some of which have those awesome little stripes on them)! I absolutely love it!!

This is 2 dabbled coats of Bubblicious over Nfu Oh 61, followed by 1 coat of Gelous, and 1 coat of Essie Good To Go.

As a side note, I bought this bottle a couple months ago which is why it has the old label on it.

Hit Polish - Candied Jewels

Let me start off by saying that Hit Polish is the new name of D & R Apothecary's nail polish line. I absolutely love their polishes! You may remember the post I did of "Halloween" a couple weeks ago (if not, you can find it here). I wore that mani for days (which for me is really saying something - considering how easily bored I get), I honestly didn't want to take it off! Well here is another amazing polish from them called "Candied Jewels", which I plan on wearing for awhile as well! It has medium sized matte purple & matte red hexes (they both have those awesome little stripes on them!), matte teal hexes that are slightly smaller than the red & purple, small green, blue, and white hexes, and small green squares - all in a clear base. A very unique combination that I totally adore!

I layered 2 dabbled coats of Candied Jewels over my Spoiled "Did I Dye It Too Blonde?" mani from yesterday, followed by 1 coat of Gelous and 1 coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dry top coat. I'm really pleased with how it came out! :D

and the super yummy macro!:

I purchased this polish off of D & R Apothecary's Etsy page, but it can also be purchased on their new website HitPolish.com. The creator of these polishes, Rachel, is really sweet and very talented. She's always coming up with new polishes - I seriously make at least one purchase from her every week!
