Zoya - Faye

I'm kinda on the fence about this polish. While there's no denying that it is pretty, it's not exactly what I was expecting. I had looked at several swatches online before I purchased it, and it definitely looks different in person. Even some of the pictures I took are quite deceiving as well (especially when the camera flash was involved). The polish appears as purple with gold shimmer in photos.. where as in real life the polish is much more gold with a little bit of purple. Luckily the pics I took without flash were much more color accurate.

Indoors, with flash (very deceitful):

It's crazy how much more purple it looks with the camera flash! I'm obsessed with purple so that's why I was a bit disappointed that it didn't actually look like this in person. However it still is very pretty and the application was a dream!

Ozotic - 515

I don't know what I can say about this polish that hasn't already been said.. but I will say this - it is breathtaking!!

I started off with my usual base coat of Nailtiques 2 Plus, followed by one coat of Jordana Black, and then two coats of Ozotic 515. I read somewhere that it was necessary to layer this polish over black.. but I have to say I don't think that's true. It definitely seemed like it would have worked fine without it because the consistency was great.

All of these pics were taken indoors with flash (except for the one all the way at the bottom). Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any outdoor photos because it hasn't been sunny here lately, but luckily the flash shows it's true potential!

I think it's really sad that these polishes (Ozotic 500's) are not going to be available much longer. Anyways, you can still purchase them from Llarowe though they might be on backorder now. But if you can get any of them you totally should, you will not regret it!

Magnetic Force by Color Club - Cop An Attitude

I cannot even put into words how much I love this polish, so I'll let the photos do the talkin'!

Indoors with flash

I started off with a base coat of Nailtiques 2 Plus, then I did one coat of this polish and let it dry completely (which I must say I think it's pretty enough to be worn without using the magnet).

Sorry for the messy cuticles and awkward hand position (it's because this is my right hand).

After the first coat dried, I applied the second coat and immediately held the magnet over it. You have to work quickly before the polish dries in order for the magnet to work its magic. They recommend doing this for 15 seconds but I did it for 30 (just to be sure), and I'm really happy with the results.

As you can see, the magnet part of the cap is removable, and has a lip to rest on your cuticle which makes it really easy to hold the magnet over your nail without smudging it.

Outside, no flash

I know the nails are blurry in this pic, but I just love that Holden is in the background, and since this is Nails AND a Westie, it only seems appropriate! :)

Magnetic Force by Color Club is available in stores now. I purchased mine at Harmon (which is a sister store of Bed Bath & Beyond) for about $7, a total steal! But you can also get it on Color Club's website HERE and I've heard that Duane Reade sells them as well.

Kleancolor - Pastels, and Revlon - Whimsical

Sorry it's been over a week since my last mani post. I've been feeling sick for awhile but it culminated on Wednesday night, and I ended up spending 9 hours in the ER. Ugh. It turns out I have Gallstones and I'm going to have to have my Gallbladder removed probably next week ( I haven't made the appointment yet because I'm totally dreading it). Anyways, I had naked nails for a few days and to make up for lost time I ended up doing a kind of fancy manicure! Hope you like it!

With flash..

Without flash..

And here are the polishes I used..
Kleancolors Pastels, Barry M Mint Green, Kiss Nail Striper in Silver Glitter, Revlon Whimsical, & Essie Go To Go Topcoat.

Zoya - Apple, and Jordana - Cosmic

I started off with a base coat of Nailtiques 2 Plus, then did two coats of Zoya Apple..

Though that was nice, I was craving some glitter so I added one coat of Jordana Cosmic..

This is with flash:

And here's the macro!

Call me crazy but I love to miss-match, so of course my toes are a completely different color! It's Color Club Ms. Socialite (which happens to be a dupe of OPI Pamplona Purple).

That's all for now folks, thanks for checking me out! :)
