Another awesome glitterbomb from Black Cat Lacquer! This one is jam packed with hexes of various sizes & vibrant colors including red, orange, yellow, & green, and purple shards all in a clear base. It's yet another polish that reminds me of Autumn leaves changing color, so it's perfect for this season, though honestly I can see myself wearing this year round! It's absolutely beautiful. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the name, which was inspired by the TV show Dexter. Here is Black Cat Lacquer's description from their Etsy page: "Part of our Darkly Dreaming collection, Ice Truck Killer is inspired by the colors of the dismembered hand of Dexter's & Brian's mother."Gruesome indeed. I'm just gonna go ahead and keep imagining those Autumn leaves instead.. This is 3 dabbled coats of Ice Truck Killer, followed by 1 coat of Gelous, & 1 coat of Essie Good To Go.
It was raining all day today so all of the following pics were taken indoors under artificial light. Click on any picture to enlarge :)
Last year around this time I was obsessed with nail polish strips. They were a relatively new thing, and I thought they were sooo cool, I just couldn't get enough! Fast forward a year later - and I hardly ever use them. I still have half a shoe box full of different brands (mainly Sally Hansen), but I stumbled upon this no name skull print one from Ulta, and I figured now's as good a time as any to use it! I will say that the Ulta strips are not as good as the Sally Hansen ones, but they weren't completely terrible either. I didn't put any topcoat over these, because topcoat doesn't always agree with the strips and can sometimes cause shrinkage. Click on any photo to enlarge :)

I purchased these last year from Ulta.com. Unfortunately they are no longer available, but don't fret, the Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips are much better quality so you're better off buying them anyway.
My random song of the night is "And I'm Aching" by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (aka BRMC), such a silly name for such a great band..
This polish is THE quintessential Halloween polish! It totally makes me think of Frankenstein.. or maybe Frankenstein's daughter since it is a "Ms."! It's an incredible glitterbomb filled with big hexes of black, & neon yellow-green, white squares & rectangles, small hexes of purple & red, and itty bitty emerald green hexes, all in a lightly tinted neon yellow-green base. Application was great - the glitters came out super easy, no fishing necessary, and they all layed perfectly flat. This is 2 dabbled coats of Ms. Monster Esq. over Zoya Meg (which can be seen by itself at the end of this post), followed by 1 coat of Gelous, & 1 coat of Essie Good To Go. I also took some pictures of this polish with this Puffs Halloween designed tissue box. They went together so well, I just couldn't resist!:
Zoya Meg is a beautiful light green shimmery foil. Application was fantastic - smooth as butter! Here is 2 coats by itself, with 1 coat of top coat.
This is an amazing Halloween inspired matte glitterbomb! It really does look like candy has been sprinkled onto your fingertips! It has hexes of various sizes & colors including: blue, red, light pink, coral, green, & purple. It also has light pink & teal squares, dark pink bars, and itty bitty white hexes all in a clear base. Whew! I think that's everything, but honestly there's so much going on I might have missed something. It's beyond awesome! :D This is 2 dabbled coats of Trick or Treat over Zoya Kotori (which can be seen by itself at the end of this post), followed by 1 coat of Gelous, & 1 coat of Essie Good To Go.

Zoya Kotori has a sheer black almost jelly-like base jam packed with tons of gorgeous blue shimmer. It was very thin so I did 3 coats, and probably could have done a 4th! Here it is by itself with 1 coat of top coat.
This polish is a coppery orange crelly filled with orange hexes of various sizes and small gold holographic hexes. I'm not a huge fan of orange, but this polish has an interesting look about it. It's certainly an excellent color for this time of year! I used 2 coats of Hoof Wrassle by itself on all fingers *except* my ring finger - that has 1 coat of Hoof Wrassle over black. All fingers were topped with 1 coat of Gelous & 1 coat of Essie Good To Go.

I purchased this bottle from RainbowHoney.com. Minis are $5 & full sized are $10. Check out their Facebook page as well :)
My random song of the night is "The Engine Driver" by The Decemberists.
This polish is a black jelly infused with purple & turquoise shards. I bought a full sized bottle of "Save A Life" from Wing Dust Collections and she threw this mini bottle in with it for free! I don't know if it was part of a promo or something she does regularly.. so you'd have to ask her first. This polish has a very subtle look about it. From a distance it just looks black, so you have to look at it up close to see the glitter. All fingers *except* my ring finger have 4 coats of Midnight Madness. My ring finger has 2 coats of Midnight Madness over black. All fingers have 1 coat of Gelous, & 1 coat of Essie Good To Go.

I apologize for the piece of dog hair on this macro.
Those of you who have been following my blog for awhile know that I'm a huge fan of Hit Polish (formerly D & R Apothecary). Well, it's official, they are now my absolute favorite indie brand!! This is the 5th polish of theirs I've worn so far (see the others here), and with each new one that I put on I love them more & more! Punk'd Up Kicks is a totally awesome glitterbomb filled with matte pink & blue hexes, holographic lime green hexes, micro black & white hexes, matte blue squares, & black shards all in a clear base. I think this one may be my favorite yet!! <3
This is 2 dabbled coats of Punk'd Up Kicks over China Glaze For Audrey (which can be seen alone here), followed by 1 coat of Gelous, & 1 coat of Essie Good To Go. As a side note.. the bottle in these pics has the old label on it because I bought this a while back.

I purchased this bottle off of the Hit Polish Etsy page, but it can also be found on HitPolish.com. They're having a 20% off sale right now (until Oct 14 @ 5pm EST), so if you've had your eye on them now's an excellent time to buy!
Also, check out their Facebook page, and don't forget to "like" them! :)
