Color Club - Ms. Socialite

This is a gorgeous red toned purple. Purple is definitely my all time favorite color. From the darkest shade of it, to the lightest, and everything in between. Even as a kid I loved Harold and the Purple Crayon! I think that's the only reason I still remember it to this day. If it had been Harold and the (insert any other color here) Crayon.. I just wouldn't have cared at all. Anyways, on to the pics!

The red tone really shows itself under artificial light, it looks like a raspberry!

I just downloaded Picasa the other day, and as you may have noticed I've been playing around with watermarks. I'm not so sure if I will continue to do them because they are quite time consuming and I really don't think anyone is going to steal my photos when there are a million better ones elsewhere!

OPI - Rainbow Connection

I don't usually wear glitter polishes by themselves, but I just had to make an exception for this one. It is sooo ridiculously purdy!! I am seriously enamored.

All of these pics were taken outdoors in the shade:

I didn't buy this polish when it first came out back around Christmas time last year, and I had been kicking myself ever since. Then Nicole by OPI released "Rainbow in the S-Kylie" which is an exact dupe for this polish, but I absolutely can't stand the Kardashians, so I refused to buy that one! Luckily I found this baby on eBay for about $12, yes a little more expensive than the NOPI version, but well worth it in my opinion. I just couldn't live with myself if I gave any of my money to the Kardashians.. haha!!

Barry M - Mint Green, and a plaid accent nail

This is definitely one of my new favorite colors. Although it seems more like a sea foam green than a mint green to me.. but either way I'm loving it!
This is the first time that I can say that the pictures taken with flash came out most color accurate. In fact every time I took a pic without flash the polish looked blue.. so I'm not going to be posting those. In person this color is brighter on the nail than it is in the bottle, which luckily was a pleasant surprise!

Trying out some new hand positions..

I just thought this pic was funny..
..and here are the stripers I used for the plaid:

OPI - I Don't Give A Rotterdam!

From the moment I saw this color months ago I knew I had to have it!! It's such a pretty and soft shade of dusty periwinkle. And as if that weren't enough, it also has bits of silver and gold shimmer that add to it's beauty. Best of all the color looks exactly the same on the nail as it does in the bottle, unlike some other polishes (I'm talking 'bout you Essie Dive Bar!!). So I'm very glad to say that this one did not disappoint!

Essie - Dive Bar

This polish is dark. Very dark. Darker on the nail than it looks in the bottle. In the bottle it has a multi chromatic effect that shifts from green to blue to purple.. but unfortunately it doesn't translate to the nail. I'm still wearing it right now and all I can say is that it looks like black with a subtle hint of green shimmer. Kinda disappointing.

All of these pictures were taken indoors because it has been raining for days..

As you can already guess my overall reaction to this polish is.. meh. Maybe it's just the mood I'm in.. I've been preferring lighter shades of polishes lately, probably because it's spring/almost summer. I guess I'll just have to try this one again in winter..
